Legal AI Research Co. ROSS Intel Bags US Firm Jackson Lewis

US law firm Jackson Lewis , well-known for its expertise in employment law, has announced a major commitment to deploying legal AI research company ROSS Intelligence.

The firm said in a statement that the relationship with ROSS Intelligence would allow Jackson Lewis to ‘streamline legal research workflows and provide clients with more timely, accurate and pro-active advice’.

Vincent A. Cino, Chairman of Jackson Lewis, said: ‘By working with the ROSS Intelligence team, we are putting cutting-edge technology directly into the hands of our attorneys and researchers. Our relationship with ROSS Intelligence not only allows us to continue to provide excellent client service in the ever-changing business of law, but also ensures that as a firm we are fully leveraging the transformative artificial intelligence technology that is rapidly changing the knowledge economy.’

‘This will empower our attorneys to work more efficiently and effectively, enabling them to continue to provide proactive and insightful guidance in their role as trusted advisors and counsel to our clients,’ he added.

‘This is only the beginning for us. We believe the pace of AI adoption will only accelerate, and our relationship with ROSS is a key step in our strategy to embed AI and machine learning into every relevant aspect of law,’ Cino concluded.

Andrew Arruda, CEO and co-founder of ROSS told Artificial Lawyer: ‘ROSS is proud to continue to lead the way for AI in law. History continues to be made in 2018 as this latest development may very well be the largest deployment of AI tech in law date. We look forward to everything the future holds and we see that Artificial Lawyer will have a lot to write on in the coming months and years as AI continues to be adopted within the legal industry.’

The move follows the recent launch of ROSS’s Labor & Employment module, which builds on other areas of AI-driven legal research such as bankruptcy law and several others. The AI company also recently released EVA, its litigation analytics system.
