Contract Platform Juro Bags Skyscanner in Major Client Coup

Travel comparison giant Skyscanner has selected Juro as its contract management/automation provider in a significant client win for the UK-based legal tech pioneer following a successful proof of concept phase that completed in August.

Juro is an ‘end-to-end contract management platform’ founded in 2016 by Richard Mabey and Pavel Kovalevich. Since then, Juro has gone on to raise almost $3m in funding from the likes of Point Nine Capital and Seedcamp.

Put simply, Juro really speeds up the contracting process by creating a digital space where parties come together to fill in customised templates that are easy to collaborate across. The end result is a much faster and simpler contracting process.

Plus, once you’ve built up a stack of Juro contracts they can be analysed to reveal useful patterns in the legal data, which can help with business issues. It reckons it can provide businesses with up to 96% time savings on contracting.

Meanwhile, Skyscanner has 80 million monthly users and was purchased by China’s largest travel firm, Ctrip, in a deal worth £1.4bn in 2016.

In short, this is a big company with a LOT of contracting needs….hence, a coup for Juro and a great step for contracting automation platforms as a whole. Other clients Juro has bagged include: Deliveroo, Estée Lauder Companies, Nested, Unbabel and Hostmaker.

Richard Mabey, CEO and co-founder of Juro, said: ‘We are thrilled to be working with the forward-looking legal team at Skyscanner as they continue to deliver a world-class service to their internal client. It’s refreshing to see a legal team that focuses not only on efficiency but also on user experience and pushing the boundaries of legal technology.’

Carolyn Jameson, Chief Legal Officer of Skyscanner, concluded: ‘We are delighted to be working with the team at Juro, whose refreshing, innovative approach has been invaluable in shaping Skyscanner’s expanding contract management needs.’

Juro added that the ‘client win adds to the momentum behind design-led legal technology solutions – particularly those with AI capabilities – challenging legacy solutions for enterprise clients and bringing best-in-class technology to the legal teams that believe in it’.

Congrats to all involved!
