Legal Innovators Is On Friday – Here’s Your FAQ Conference Guide

On Friday 11th October Artificial Lawyer will be holding its inaugural event in London: Legal Innovators. For the several hundred people who are attending here are some FAQ tips ahead of the event.

When Should I Arrive?

Legal Innovators, which has been organised with Artificial Lawyer’s good friends Cosmonauts, will be putting on a great Networking Breakfast for you that starts at 8.00AM. You can also register from this time.

The conference sessions begin at 8.50AM with the Chairman’s Introduction by Richard Tromans in the main hall. This will be swiftly followed by our opening Keynote by Kerry Westland, Head of Innovation & Legal Technology, Addleshaw Goddard. So, please make sure you’re through registration by that time.

Where Is It?

The conference will take place at Etc Venues St Paul’s, which is on 200 Aldersgate, EC1 4HD. The closest two Tube stations are: Barbican, and St Paul’s. The venue is opposite the Museum of London.

Dress Code

Generally it’s going to be business and business casual. But if you want to come in Californian tech company dress down mode that is cool as well. Please come wearing what is most comfortable for you.

Sessions Format

Legal Innovators is focused on ‘Question Time’-style panels, each with a number of expert speakers from across a range of law firms, corporates and tech companies, speaking about a series of key subjects relevant to innovation and the delivery of legal services.

Rather than have a ‘one by one’ approach, the panels will have a debate style. Each panel will also provide time for questions from the audience – because even if you are not on stage, we’d like to hear your views and queries as well. There will be roving microphones for this.

There will also be several standalone presentations, these will explore important aspects of legal technology.

Networking

As well as a great place to learn and share ideas, Legal Innovators provides an opportunity to meet your peers, catch up with old friends and make new ones.

There will be five networking times throughout the day, starting with the breakfast, then an hour-long coffee break at 10.30AM, lunch is at 12.50PM, then comes the afternoon tea, also an hour, at 2.50PM, and finally there will be drinks for all at the end of the main sessions.

During the tea and coffee breaks there will also be a chance to visit the special product demos. These are:

10:45 – 11:30 ‘The Future of Digital Productivity’ – Peter Buck, VP Strategy at NetDocuments,

and,

15:05 – 15:50 ‘A Modern Approach to Ediscovery’ – Chirag Zaveri, Everlaw UK.

Exhibitors

One reason we all go to conferences is to find out what is new in the market and who has great products that may be useful to us. Legal Innovators will be hosting a wide range of legal tech companies in the exhibitor area and you’ll have plenty of time to check them out during the multiple breaks.

Registration and Tickets

As mentioned above, registration starts at the same time as Breakfast, at 8.00AM. Please come along to the desks at the front of the conference area. And, if you fancy grabbing a last minute ticket, of which there are literally only a handful left, then you can try: here.

Cosmonauts is sending you an event brochure and other information this week, if you haven’t received yours yet, please email: george@cosmonauts.biz, and he’ll be able to help.

And that’s all folks, see you bright and early on Friday morning!

Looking forward to welcoming you all to a day packed full of learning, sharing and networking – and all with the aim of changing the legal world for the better. That’s Legal Innovators!
