World Economic Forum Picks Eigen + Chainlink for Tech Pioneers 2020 Group

The World Economic Forum – the globally-focused folks that brought us the elite talk-fest known as Davos – has announced that Eigen Technologies is to be one of its Technology Pioneers for 2020, which is a mainly networking gig that focuses on the companies they believe will make a big impact in the next couple of years. It’s super-prestigious, invite only, and puts you in front of a lot of VIPs around the world.

Past participants in the two-year networking group include Airbnb, Google, Kickstarter, Mozilla, Spotify, TransferWise, Twitter and Wikimedia. So, good company.

Smart contract oracle pioneer, Chainlink, has also been chosen as one of the 100 companies for 2020. The company has worked closely with OpenLaw, the New York-based smart contract developers.

The World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneers are usually early-to-growth-stage companies from around the world that are ‘involved in the design, development, and deployment of new technologies and innovations, and are poised to have a significant impact on business and society’.

Eigen will contribute to Forum initiatives over the next two years, working with policymakers and private sector leaders to help ‘define the global agenda on key issues‘, the company said.

And for Chainlink, which is not so well-known outside of the blockchain world, this is indeed a significant mark of recognition that may help a wider audience to get access to their ideas and tech.
