UK legal AI pioneer RAVN Systems has opened a new office in Amsterdam, Holland, its first base on the Continent.
In addition, Dries Ausems has been appointed to Sales Director, Europe, along with Sebastiaan Bos who has been appointed as Operations Director, Europe, both heading up the Amsterdam office and both previously working at allied legal tech company HighQ.
The company said this step was made in order to meet growing client demand and further their product distribution in mainland Europe.
Peter Wallqvist, CEO at RAVN, said: ‘We have seen thriving interest in the European market for our Artificial Intelligence and advanced Search offerings, so it was imperative that we increased our presence to ensure our European prospects and clients receive the best possible service and support.’
Last week Artificial Lawyer showcased a guest post on the growth and energy in the Dutch legal tech market. The report suggested that there is a growing interest in the use of advanced legal tech in the Dutch legal sector.
Another legal AI company to have offices in the UK and mainland Europe is LEVERTON, which has a strong focus on real estate and has offices in Germany and the UK.
Meanwhile, the departure of the two HighQ staffers comes shortly after the move of tech innovation specialist Ryan McLead, who joined Neota Logic in the US in September. McClead had joined HighQ from Norton Rose Fulbright.
Interestingly, both Neota and RAVN have a close working relationship with HighQ, which provides enterprise collaboration and file sharing solutions to law firms and corporate legal teams.
