Earlier this month LOD and SYKE formed a strategic partnership, bringing ‘lawyers on demand’ together with a tech consultancy service to provide a combined capability to clients. LOD also invested in SYKE.
In this AL TV interview we talk to Alistair Maiden, founder of SYKE, and Simon Harper, founder of LOD, about the new partnership, what it will do, and their shared vision for legal services.
In the interview we cover areas such as:
- What does their shared vision look like?
- How the LMS part of LOD will play a key role, as well as the main lawyers on demand service.
- What are legal front doors? And how do they help with legal work triage?
- Working with clients to offer a mix of ‘tech and people’.
The interview is about 20 mins, press play to watch/listen inside the page. Enjoy.
One of the key comments from the interview is when the two founders note that in the past they sometimes missed out on work as the tech side didn’t have lawyers to offer the client, and on LOD’s side they didn’t have tech consulting and implementation capabilities. The new partnership will therefore address this client need.
