Legal Innovators Starts Thursday – What To Expect

Legal Innovators, the two-day conference focused on how technology, people and process combine to improve legal delivery, will take place this Thursday and Friday at St Paul’s Etc Venues, 200 Aldersgate, London. Here is what to expect.

First, what is Legal Innovators? The model that Artificial Lawyer came up with for this event is that it would be multifaceted, high-level and medium-size. It’s about the intersection of all the key constituents of legal delivery, so we have legal technologists, associates and partners at major law firms, directors at ALSPs, and inhouse lawyers, all on stage – and in the audience.

The goal of this conference, where we expect around 350 people to take part over the two days, is to focus on high-level discussions, to replicate the kind of senior level conversations law firms and inhouse teams might have about their key innovation and change management needs.

The second leg to this is networking and information gathering. With plenty of breaks there should be time and space to meet the people you want to, as well as spend meaningful time with the legal tech and ALSP companies in the exhibitors area and that will be providing special product showcases. And that is the magic of in-person events: real meetings and real conversations, plus the power of serendipity.

And the third leg is simply having a good time. We hope that with our excellent group of speakers sharing their first-hand experiences, the chance to ask questions, and the opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones, you will get a lot out of this conference, and that it will provide you with ideas and energy for many months to come.

Timeline and When To Arrive

The venue will open at 8AM on both Thursday and Friday, where breakfast will be served.

As we need to do temperature checks on everyone arriving and the likelihood of some queuing as people register and pick up their badges, if you could please arrive from 8AM onwards that would be great.

The hope is that everyone will have had some breakfast at the venue, have picked up their badges, and had a chance to do a bit of networking before we begin with the Chairman’s Introduction at 9AM. And then the conference will run all day, with breaks and lunch, until about 5PM, swiftly followed by the main drinks reception on the Thursday, which is kindly sponsored by DISCO.

Friday will run much the same as Thursday, but the focus will be on the clients and inhouse needs. It will all wrap up at about 5PM.
