Everlaw Seeks to Expand Partner Programme into UK + Oz

Ediscovery company Everlaw is expanding its partner programme globally and in particular is looking for organisations to work with in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

They currently have a number of partners in the US, such as Epiq and Consilio, that work with the cloud-based company. Partners can cooperate with Everlaw in several ways:

  • Strategic Reseller – partners provide valuable services on top of the Everlaw platform for a seamless customer experience.
  • Teaming Partner – partners specialise in navigating the public-sector landscape, overlaying their domain expertise and services with Everlaw’s technology offering.
  • Referral Partner – as an extension of our trusted services-provider network, Everlaw’s referral partners add value to customers who need ancillary services.
  • Technology Partner – our technology partners use Everlaw’s API to extend the functionality and increase the value of your litigation and ediscovery solutions.’

Everlaw CEO, AJ Shankar, commented: ‘[We are] looking to partner with world-class service providers to both scale our reach and help deliver the best customer outcomes for legal teams.

‘We pledge to co-sell, collaborate and go-to market with our partners – and not to compete against them.’

The company highlighted how they work with Epiq, the multi-capability legal services group. In this case: ‘Epiq’s inclusion of the Everlaw platform in its Epiq Choice offering allows leaders in corporations and law firms the ability to take advantage of multiple ediscovery tools in one place with easy access and with a predictable monthly fee’.

Epiq Senior Vice President of eDiscovery Services, Scott Berger, said: ‘[We have added] Everlaw’s advanced ediscovery platform to Epiq Choice, which as a part of the Epiq Service Cloud, supports our goal to offer our clients a combination of proprietary and other leading industry tools, infrastructure, and security that drives legal innovation and addresses a spectrum of client needs.’

And in terms of the company itself, Everlaw held a Series D funding round of $202m in November 2021, and has since grown its global employee base by 76% to reach 500-plus employees. It has also doubled its employees on the East Coast, they added. Headquartered in Oakland, California, the company runs European operations from its London office.

Overall, the partnering project makes a lot of sense. Clients can often want the ability to assemble the service providers and the tech solutions together that they need for a particular matter. Partner programmes like this, and those seen with fellow ediscovery company Relativity, and also those in other areas, such as with iManage, allow this flexibility along with technical connections e.g. APIs, and also deeper business cooperation e.g. co-selling and teaming.
