By Max Paterson, Chief Customer Officer, Neota.
When I speak with existing customers and prospects, two of the most often asked questions I get are ‘how do I know if Neota is the right tool to build the use case I have in mind?’ and ‘what do other organizations do with your software?’
Like any platform tool, it can be intimidating to see the list of features and to then have to question whether they can meet your needs. Similarly, one of the cornerstones of the marketplace is competition, and it’s easier to get inspired from an existing success and build upon it, rather than forge a new path. Let me share with you some of the ways I’ve helped Neota users answer these two questions, including some helpful resources that may help steer you in the right direction.
‘How do I know if Neota is the right tool to build the use case I have in mind?’
Like any good lawyer, asking a question usually leads to more questions. Below are some questions to consider when determining whether a use case is a good fit for the Neota platform.
Ask yourself: Are you digitizing documents or will one of the outputs of your use case be a document?
If yes, then Neota is a great tool to leverage. Not only can we ingest fillable PDFs and markup Word documents (we have our very own Word Add-In), we can also create documents from scratch with information that’s inputted into Neota solutions. We even integrate with all the major e-signature services so you can take a document through to execution without adding a manual step.
Ask yourself: Does your use case involve multiple people?
If so, Neota can accommodate input from a number of people throughout a process. Whether those people are inputting, reviewing, triaging, approving/rejecting information (and much more), we can have a solution involve both internal and external stakeholders at various stages of a solution.
Ask yourself: Do you need to capture data, store data, or send data between systems?
Neota has natively integrated SQL data structures ready to be leveraged behind the scenes of every solution. That means that you can capture as much or as little data as you like, view that data in a dashboard on the backend, and leveraging our API capabilities, and send that data (or documents) to virtually any other system with a RestAPI.
Ask yourself: Do you want a low tech burden on your user?
If so, Neota is a good fit for your use case. Neota solutions are launched in your browser, meaning no additional downloads are needed or special installation to access solutions. We also have the ability to embed solutions into iFrames, making them easy to post on a website or internal intranet. Similarly, when we connect solutions together, or require input from multiple people, we use email to prompt and guide people to the correct part of a process. Leveraging these existing and familiar user habits enables Neota solutions to be widely adopted and used, relieving the tech burden from users.
‘What do other organizations do with your software?’
Whether you’ve determined that Neota is the right tool for you to use but you want to see similar use cases, or you’re looking around for some inspiration, we’ve got some resources to help you out.
Our Use Case Ebook is our first port of call for inspiration and ideas. We’ve put together a list of some of the most built Neota solutions, going into how they transform processes, and their value for our customers. Note that this is only scratching the surface of what is possible in the platform.
Over the years we have collected a great deal of case studies from customers in a wide variety of industries. These case studies outline the experiences of building, to the actual use cases and solutions themselves. Similarly, we’re constantly presenting at conferences, usually jointly with a customer. These webinars are also available on our website, so that customers and prospects can benefit from the insight and hopefully gain a little inspiration.
Neota Network Conference Replays
Once a year, the Neota community comes together to share some of the exciting ways they’ve leveraged the platform. The first few conferences were done in person, allowing attendees to benefit from further networking and the personal experience. Since the pandemic, the Neota Network has moved virtually, which allows you to relive and review some of our best presentations and content.
One of the most difficult things to do in any platform is getting started. Staring at a blank screen can be intimidating as you try and figure out where to begin. To help with this we’ve built a number of template solutions that give you a leg up, so you don’t have to start from the ground. Similarly, we also have created easier ways to set up the most popular integrations – from DocuSign to iManage, to Sharepoint, we help bridge the gap between these systems and Neota.
Hopefully you’ve found some benefit to how I approach answering these popular questions. If you’re interested in learning more about Neota or this article has sprung even more questions, feel free to reach out!
