Legal Innovators Conference Guide, See You Wed + Thurs!

Hi everyone! The Legal Innovators conference in London starts tomorrow (Wednesday) and continues on Thursday. Here’s a few handy tips for making the most of the landmark event.

Location and Getting There

The event will take place at the America Square Conference Centre, 17 Crosswall, One America Square, London, EC3N 2LB. The nearest stations are: Tower Hill and Aldgate (for tube) and Fenchurch Street (rail). It’s also just a 4-minute cycle ride from Bank, and about five minutes on bike from London Bridge, for those who prefer two wheels. The main tube lines to Tower Hill are the Circle and District, while the main tube lines to Aldgate are the Circle and Metropolitan. Walking is also an option from most of the City’s other main stations and tube hubs, at between about 10 to 15 mins.

Start Times and Schedule

Legal Innovators will start at the same time on both Wednesday and Thursday, November 8 + 9, with the doors opening for registration and breakfast networking from 8.30AM. The Chair’s opening remarks will start at 9.30AM, followed by the opening keynotes.

It’s recommended to arrive by at least 9AM to ensure you get through registration on time.

Throughout each day there will be coffee breaks, with a lunch and also evening drinks. During some breaks there will be special sessions demonstrating new technology products – so look out for those. Meanwhile, the exhibitor area will be open throughout all of both days giving you a chance to meet the many pioneering product and service providers at Legal Innovators.

In terms of the agenda, Day One looks at the field of legal innovation through the lens of law firms and ALSPs, while Day Two does this from the perspective of inhouse and legal ops teams, providing a 360 degree view of what is happening at the cutting edge of our sector.

You can also download the daily agenda here.

Dress Code and More

In terms of what to wear, and especially given how much the world has changed in the last couple of years, please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, whether that’s a suit or a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. Each to their own.

In terms of social media hashtags, if you want to use one it’s probably simplest just to use #legalinnovators.

See You There!

Er….can’t think of anything else at this point other than to say: the main thing is to have fun, learn, meet people and please ask as many questions as you’d like.

We’ve assembled a great group of speakers and exhibitors from across the legal innovation ecosystem – and we have an equally great audience arriving from across the world – so the event should prove to be an opportunity to see where we all are on a range of subjects, from understanding where firms and inhouse teams are now with generative AI, to how ALSPs are being integrated into workflows, to how legal innovation and legal ops groups are evolving in this ever-changing field. Plus, there will be plenty of opportunities to make new contacts, refresh old ones, and gather inspiration for your personal or firm-wide projects.

Last Word

This is the first event I’ve attended on this side of the Atlantic since last year and I am really looking forward to hearing where we have all got to on a range of pressing issues and opportunities.

I haven’t been this excited about the legal innovation field since I started Artificial Lawyer back in 2016. It will also be great to catch up with a lot of folks I have not seen in a long time.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Richard Tromans, Artificial Lawyer Founder and Conference Chair.
