First Speakers Announced for Legal Innovators California, June 4 + 5

We are delighted to announce some of our speakers for the landmark Legal Innovators California conference on June 4 and 5, in San Francisco.

The two-day event, with Day One for Law Firms, and Day Two for Inhouse and Legal Ops, with ALSPs fitting into both days, is chaired by Artificial Lawyer and organised by Cosmonauts.

And here are some of the excellent speakers we can now mention, with many more to be announced in the weeks ahead, including plenty from the inhouse and VC worlds.

  • David Wang, Chief Innovation Officer, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati
  • Gabriela Isturiz, General Partner, The Fund XX
  • Amol Bargaje, Global Chief Innovation Officer, Mayer Brown
  • Dr. Megan Ma, Assistant Director, CodeX and Law, Science + Technology, Stanford Law School
  • Danielle Benecke, Founder/Director, Baker McKenzie Machine Learning
  • Josh Rosenzweig, Senior Director of Digital Transformation and User Experience, Morgan Lewis & Bockius
  • John Scrudato, Senior Legal Engineering & Data Strategy Manager, Gunderson Dettmer

As you can see, we have leading figures in legal innovation from law firms, including experts from Wilson Sonsini, Gunderson Dettmer, Baker McKenzie, Mayer Brown and Morgan Lewis; academics with great insights into AI such as Dr Megan Ma from Stanford; and pioneers from the investment world, such as Gabriela Isturiz from The Fund XX – with more VCs to be announced soon.

Plus, we already have some great sponsors, such as: Relativity, ClearyX, Tangible, and Fossa, who will have plenty to say on a range of innovation subjects.

This year we are going to be hosting a special area for startups, alongside the scaleups, ALSPs, and legal tech giants, which given that we are in the Bay Area, a key centre for investment and new tech companies, makes total sense. Get in touch if you’re a young company and would like to take part.

Last year we were bursting at the seams and had a tremendous two-day conference. This year we aim to do the same, at a new venue, and at a time of great change in the legal sector. Will genAI be a theme? You bet, but we’ll be taking a realistic view of it, via multiple topics that relate to different use cases in the law. Will we be focused on ALSPs and new legal business models? You bet! Because there is more than one way to deliver legal services! Plus, there will be tons to explore on Day Two for the Inhouse Lawyers and Legal Ops experts who will be considering the steadily evolving landscape for the clients.

P.S. In case you hadn’t heard, Artificial Lawyer will return to its normal full-time news and views publishing schedule from April. Meanwhile there will be plenty of updates on this site in the lead up to Legal Innovators California in June.

That’s all for now, keep a look out for many more updates over the next four months.
