ContractPodAI + Execo
CLM company ContractPodAI has done a deal with Execo, an ALSP provider. The partnership will incorporate their genAI Leah tool’s capabilities with Execo’s human team. This will help with CLM implementation and a Contracts-as-a-service offering, operating from bases in India, Kenya and the Philippines.
Anurag Malik, President and CTO at ContractPodAi, told this site: ‘This partnership reinforces our leadership position within the legal industry, as it’s another proof point of the growing recognition among ALSPs of the value that Leah, the leading GenAI application in legal tech, brings to their clients.
‘As these service providers continue to embrace innovation, Leah’s legal-specific GenAI capabilities not only enhance their operational efficiency but also position them as leaders in client service delivery. The continuous enhancement of Leah’s offerings indicates our commitment to staying ahead in this rapidly changing environment, providing ALSPs with the tools they need to succeed and meet their clients’ needs effectively.’
‘This is an exciting time for Execo, as they’re joining an increasing number of professional services companies who are adopting Leah to revamp their business model and move towards a future state of GenAI embedded legal services.’
P.S. other legal tech companies may well want to debate the point that Leah is ‘the leading genAI application in legal tech’ – but at least one cannot say ContractPodAi are lacking in confidence 🙂 Of course, there’s a way to measure genAI claims – and that is to test their accuracy and make the information public so everyone can examine it and compare it against what others have achieved. Just an idea.

Litera
The legal tech group has three items of news this week: an Add-In that integrates workflows across devices in Word and Outlook; plus boosts to Foundation Dragon and Kira.

Litera has also expanded Foundation Dragon, launched earlier this year, with a new Real Estate Purchase Agreement deal type.
And in terms of the Add-In, the company said: ‘Since announcing a deeper collaboration with Microsoft in May, Litera Add-In paves the way … to expand core workflows across its drafting suite and add additional GenAI capabilities to integrate with Copilot.’

DeepIP
French-American startup DeepIP (formerly known as davinci) has released a new AI-based patent assistant, which is listed as an app on the Microsoft Marketplace. The DeepIP tool replaces predecessor solution davinci, which was launched to a selected group of corporate legal and law firms earlier this year.
Use cases:
‘When lawyers draft patents in Word, they click on the DeepIP button to pop up a chatbot interface and enter in data and queries. DeepIP then cycles through various legal and inventor documents and graphic renderings to help them gain a deeper understanding of inventions, even the most technical ones. It provides relevant suggestions to assist in drafting and structuring claims, describes figures, and generates sections of their specifications. Additionally, DeepIP helps with reviews and the editing of the application to avoid costly errors and inconsistencies.
For office action answers, DeepIP processes both the patent application and prior art referred to by the examiner. The tool evaluates the strength of the arguments mentioned in the office action and recommends response content to the attorney. This recommendation includes whether to contest the response or change the claim based on key issues.’
