You can see the interview with Samuel Smolkin, Founder and CEO of Office & Dragons, about the deal below.
Office & Dragons serves a wide spectrum of legal work, with ‘current customers reporting 85-97% time savings for mass editing and document generation work in practice areas including Private Equity, Finance, Employment, Real Estate, and Litigation’, the company said.
The combined offerings from Litera and Office & Dragons will now empower law firms to generate, edit, and redline documents faster and more accurately than ever, streamlining workflows for attorneys across diverse specialties, Litera added.

AL interview with Samuel Smolkin, Founder and CEO of Office & Dragons.
Why have you done this now?
We’ve grown very rapidly over the past 2 years and were ready to start scaling up in a big way. There were many opportunities for us – continuing to self-fund, raise VC funding, or to partner with a strategic acquirer. We felt that partnering with Litera would deliver the most benefit to our customers and our shareholders, and we’re really excited to continue our vision to make O&D an essential part of every lawyer’s toolkit.
How did the two companies connect?
For several years, Litera had been keeping an eye on us as we developed our business. We had the opportunity to connect at various industry events, and recently, our conversations advanced to the point where we agreed that merging O&D with Litera was a sensible decision.
Where in Litera’s tech stack will O+D fit?
O&D will be a key addition to Litera’s practice of law suite of tools, sitting alongside the Drafting solutions, Transact, and Kira. The combination provides significant opportunities for valuable integrations that bring new features into both O&D and the existing products in the suite and the opportunity to provide fluid end-to-end workflows for lawyers.
What synergies will the combo provide for clients?
The entire O&D team is staying onboard and being expanded with more resources in areas such as engineering, devops, security, and support. This will allow us to deliver on our roadmap faster and support more customers. We also have an opportunity to integrate with Litera products that lawyers use every day — for example, integrating with Litera Compare to provide redlines in the format every lawyer prefers, or integrate with Kira and Transact to create seamless end-to-end workflows.
Thanks Sam and congrats on the deal!
