Lander & Rogers’ LawTech Hub Calls For Applications

Australia’s Lander & Rogers is inviting legal tech startups and scale-ups with a focus on AI to apply for its incubator program, commencing in May 2025. Its alumni include Mary Technology (pictured), Josef, DraftWise, Syncly, Deeligence, and Nexl.

The LawTech Hub, which started in 2019, is an equity-free program that runs for six months, during which startups will ‘refine their concepts, pilot their technologies, engage with VCs and funding experts, and enhance their business skills through masterclasses’. The program culminates in a Legal Tech Pitch Night.

Graduates of the LawTech Hub can then join a growing alumni network, with opportunities to propose new ideas and mentor future participants. Thirty startups have graduated from the program so far, with 93% of these still operational.

The firm noted that the 2025 program will run adjacent to its AI Lab – ‘an Australian first that explores innovation, technology, ethics and the law to integrate artificial intelligence into legal services’; as well as the firm’s AI Clinics in partnership with Monash University, which work with law students to delve into all aspects of AI and the law, including researching use cases, testing new technology, deep diving into ethics, and studying AI’s effect on pricing models.

Lander & Rogers’ incoming chief executive partner, Daniel Proietto, commented: ‘We’re thrilled to launch the eighth edition of Australia’s longest-running legal tech accelerator program, the LawTech Hub. Together with the new cohort, we’ll explore the exciting possibilities of building legal technology to deliver the best legal services to our clients.’

Applications are now open. Good luck!
