The American Arbitration Association (AAA) has announced a strategic partnership with Dioptra, the contract review and negotiation startup (see video below).
The goal is to help lawyers with ‘the adoption of well-structured, effective arbitration clauses in commercial agreements’. Dioptra already has some fans in the legal field, including Wilson Sonsini.
By integrating AAA’s library of clauses directly into Dioptra’s contract review process, this collaboration will help organizations strengthen their negotiation playbooks, mitigate drafting risks, and accelerate contracting timelines, the ADR group said.

Is this a big deal? Yep it is and builds on the AAA’s expanding interest in leveraging legal tech, and especially AI tools, to help its members. It’s also a great boost for Dioptra – given how big the AAA is.
In fact, given the number of legal AI tools in the market that can be used for the above needs, this is quite a coup for Dioptra.
