Harvey is rolling out mobile and voice capabilities, with ‘Voice to Prompt’ available now on web search, and the mobile app will be live shortly, the pioneering genAI platform told Artificial Lawyer.
The company explained their reasons for doing this: ‘By extending Harvey to mobile, we’re unlocking new ways to work without boundaries. We’re introducing new iOS and Android mobile apps that will extend the power of Harvey across your preferred devices. You’ll be able to prompt Assistant by voice, scan and upload files, and revisit your matters anytime – making it easier to handle urgent questions or time-sensitive issues as they arise.’
The Harvey mobile app will include a subset of core Harvey functionality as well as new, mobile-specific capabilities:
- ‘Use Voice to Prompt for hands-free prompting and dictation.
- Upload files by taking photos of documents right from your phone.
- Access Assistant, including the ‘Improve’ button for quick prompt writing.
- View projects and documents in Vault.’
And you can can now use ‘Voice to Prompt’ in the web app. ‘Simply speak prompts directly into the composer and Harvey will transcribe them into Assistant,’ they explained.
The logic behind this is, they explained, is that ‘legal work doesn’t just happen at your desk or on a single device. Think: answering urgent client questions from the courthouse, reviewing contracts during a layover, and collaborating with co-counsel across three different time zones. Lawyers are constantly on the move, switching between laptops, phones, and tablets to get work done.
‘One of our core product goals is to meet lawyers where they are and make AI-powered legal work seamless across platforms and contexts — and mobile is the next step in that journey.’
