Plaintiff Bar AI Takes Off – EvenUp Bags $150m

Plaintiff Bar AI tools are really taking off now, as EvenUp gains $150m in a Series E round at a $2 billion valuation – led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from REV, the venture capital arm of RELX, which owns LexisNexis. Its focus is on personal injury cases.

It is one of several legal AI businesses supporting Small and Mid-size law firms, and especially on the plaintiff side of cases. Eve and also Supio are other legal AI companies growing fast in the same part of the market.

Last month Eve raised $103m in Series B funding, at over a $1 billion valuation, for example – see here.

The funding brings EvenUp’s total capital raised to $385m, more than doubling in less than a year, they noted. It also marks EvenUp’s fourth financing round in just 24 months….! And that’s a sign of both real growth and very high investor appetite for this part of the legal tech world.

It all goes to show that legal AI is not just for Big Law. That said, as claimant firms get empowered with AI, more cases will come to court potentially, which means more defence work.

As to their tech, EvenUp’s Claims Intelligence Platform, powered by its proprietary Piai model, is trained on hundreds of thousands of injury cases and millions of medical records, they explained.

‘Unlike traditional tools, EvenUp’s AI acts proactively, drafting, reviewing, and strategizing at superhuman scale across the entire case lifecycle. The result: the platform has already helped secure billions of dollars in settlements, accelerated case timelines by the equivalent of many thousands of years of earlier resolutions, and freed attorneys to focus on achieving the best outcomes for their clients,’ they said.

Rami Karabibar, CEO and co-founder of EvenUp, commented: ‘Legal AI is no longer a side bet; it’s becoming the backbone of personal injury law. In the last six months alone, case volume on our platform nearly doubled to 10,000 cases per week. Firms are growing revenue without adding staff, while victims secure better results faster. That’s the transformation we’re driving.’
