GC AI Raises $60m at $0.55 Billion Valuation

GC AI, an AI platform for in-house legal teams, today announced it has raised $60m in Series B funding led by Scale Venture Partners and Northzone.

Interestingly News Corp also took part. The round values the company at $555m and brings total funding to $73m, they said. This valuation is based on its rapid growth, with the company stating publicly that ‘it has grown from $1m to over $10m ARR in under a year, averaging 23% month-over-month growth in 2025’.

More than 1000 companies now use GC AI across their legal teams, including News Corp, Nextdoor, Skims, Liquid Death, Vercel, TIME Inc., and Zscaler. The platform ‘delivers instant expertise for everything in-house legal touches: contracts, policies, compliance, regulatory, and employment law’, they added.

Cecilia Ziniti, Co-founder and CEO of GC AI, commented: ‘As an in-house lawyer at Amazon and Replit, I saw AI’s potential in helping legal teams become real business drivers. That’s why we built something lawyers actually use and trust, and our 70 NPS proves that.’

All well and good, but what does it do?

The company explained that GC AI was founded by three-time General Counsel Ziniti and AI engineer and CTO Bardia Pourvakil. It provides ‘accurate AI chat, with commercial contract agents that can redline directly in Microsoft Word, and with custom negotiation playbooks so legal teams can review, summarize, and advise faster with greater context’.

In short, it’s offering a lot of what many other companies in this field are trying to offer inhouse teams. However, they are clearly succeeding.

They added they have a major training program and ‘more than 5,000 legal professionals have taken GC AI’s courses on legal AI prompting and applying AI in real legal work’.

All very interesting, and market observers will quickly see who its competitors are, ranging from Juro and Wordsmith, to the large platforms such as Harvey and Legora that want this market as well, to some of the more AI-focused CLM and contract management companies that offer a wide range of skills.
