A&O Shearman’s Fuse Calls For Applications

A&O Shearman’s (AOS) legal tech and fintech incubator, Fuse, is now open for applications to join its tenth cohort, which will start in May 2026. Applications close February 3rd.

AL has always supported legal tech incubators like this as they are a win-win. So, if you’re interested in what you can do for AOS and its clients, and also what AOS can do for you, then go for it. (Of course, it will always be horses for courses…..but Fuse is strongly recommended 🙂 )

Launched in 2017, Fuse brings together LegalTech innovators with A&O Shearman’s lawyers and clients to develop transformative solutions to real‑world legal, regulatory, and deal‑related challenges.

Since its launch, Fuse has received more than 1,400 applications and supported over 90 businesses, contributing to advances in contract automation, AI, data privacy, blockchain, geopolitical risk management, and regulatory compliance. Cohort companies have collectively raised over $1.5 billion in funding following participation in the program, they said.

Previous cohort members experienced some notable successes in 2025. These include:

  • Signal AI’s growth-equity investment of $165million led by Battery Ventures.
  • Humanloop’s acqui-hiring by Anthropic.
  • Mary Technology signed over 100 clients and grew annual recurring revenue by over fifty times.
  • Jigsaw’s diagramming tool was rolled out firm-wide in A&O Shearman.
  • Cleardox, Sideline, Crimson, Mary and Jure completed pilots with A&O Shearman across user groups in the UK, Europe, Australia and the US.

Participants join an eight‑month program with access to dedicated spaces in London and San Francisco, as well as the ability to participate remotely, enabling global engagement with AOS’s network and clients.

Shruti Ajitsaria, AOS partner and head of Fuse, said: ‘Joining Fuse is an unrivalled opportunity to accelerate your growth. We hand‑pick companies we believe are best equipped to tackle the most complex challenges faced by our lawyers and our clients.’
