Kira Upgrades + Litera and AL Webinar – March 3rd

Contract AI stalwart, Kira, which has long been part of Litera, is getting a bunch of upgrades. Meanwhile, here’s one for your diary: a new Artificial Lawyer Webinar with Litera: March 3rd, on the subject of: ‘The Memory Layer: How Firms Preserve and Scale Deal Expertise‘.

First Kira. The new features for 2026 are:

• ‘Grid Chat for natural language querying across review data,
• Generative [AI] Smart Fields with custom context grounded in verified extraction data,
• A new wave of intelligent workflows designed to elevate both rapid‐turn analysis and large‐scale, collaborative reviews, while introducing forward‐looking enhancements that deepen how legal teams surface, interpret, and act on their review insight.’

And as regular users of Kira already know, it’s had a range of updates since it was acquired by Litera back in August 2021 – which feels like a lifetime ago. Some of the more recent features include ways to combine Litera’s Lito genAI assistant with Kira’s OG ML/NLP approach.

Litera added that ‘legal teams can enable or disable genAI at the project level to meet firm, client, or regulatory requirements without losing extraction capabilities and accuracy’.
