Legal tech startup Saga, which provides AI assistants and helps you build workflows, has formed a partnership with Deloitte spinout Moonlit, a new legal research platform in Europe.
The companies told AL that the ‘partnership enables Saga to integrate directly with Moonlit’s databases, powering AI-driven workflows across 28 jurisdictions’.
This, they added, ‘helps legal professionals navigate an increasingly complex legal landscape with clarity and efficiency, while preserving the rigour and trust the profession relies on’.
This partnership brings together two complementary strengths: Saga’s AI-capabilities and workflows and Moonlit’s trusted foundation of high-quality and enriched legal data, they noted.
With Moonlit integrated with Saga, they say they will now provide:
- ‘faster, better-supported legal research
- seamless access to precedent and regulatory developments
- cross-border monitoring and intelligence
- more efficient drafting and advisory workflows
- greater confidence in high-stakes legal decisions
- more consistent citations and source referencing across AI-assisted outputs
- enablement to work with curated legal databases directly in Saga’s Workflows and Projects.’
And in terms of what Moonlit does, they bring together more than 10 million official legal documents, including legislation, case law, and regulatory decisions, from a rapidly growing number of jurisdictions into a single unified system.
From there, Moonlit goes further, ‘working with experts and users to enrich the data with nicknames, relationships, and more in-depth context, elevating it to a next-level standard. This enriched legal knowledge is accessible through both the Moonlit platform and its Data API’, they added.
Bosse Langaas, Co-founder & CEO of Saga, commented: ‘At Saga, we believe innovation in law must always come with responsibility. Our goal is to empower lawyers with AI that enhances their work while protecting the foundations of the profession – trust, transparency, and legal rigor. Partnering with Moonlit allows us to bring even stronger, source-based legal intelligence directly into the workflows where it matters most.’
Roderick Lucas, CEO of Moonlit, added: ‘Through our Data API, Saga can bring reliable and always up-to-date legal data directly into the workflows where lawyers research, draft and advise, with clear traceability back to the underlying sources.’
