LegalOn Launches Family of Inhouse Agents

LegalOn Technologies has launched a family of five AI agents, which together can handle a wide range of inhouse legal needs.

They include agents for playbook generation, intake management, and ‘triage’ that helps teams quickly review contracts and decide which are compliant and which ones need human input.

They are as follows:

  • ‘Playbook: Creates AI-generated playbooks from customer templates or existing review guidelines in minutes, not days.
  • Intake: Responds to legal service requests from business stakeholders by automatically gathering missing information—a tedious administrative task that slows both legal and business teams.
  • Translate: Translates contracts in dozens of languages into a user’s native language and translates redlines back into the original language, eliminating the need for specialized translation support for global teams.
  • Triage (in use by early access partners): Designed to accelerate high-volume, low-risk contracts by giving business users fully automated reviews that approve compliant agreements or escalate issues for legal review.
  • Draft (coming soon): Generates review-ready drafts from existing templates, clause libraries and deal-specific inputs in minutes.’

The company, which recently bought governance business, Fides, said that by using a combination of these agents across the inhouse group they can ‘support hundreds of real-world legal workflows, adapting to different contract types, jurisdictions and customer standards without requiring pre-built configurations’.

And here is a short video demo of how they work.

Examples, they explained, could be like this: ‘A lawyer asks to draft a document through the Assistant; the Drafting Agent manages the drafting workflow, gathering relevant precedent from the customer’s repository, asking clarifying questions and confirmations, and delivering a review-ready draft directly in Microsoft Word.

‘[Then] the Assistant provides a conversational way to initiate certain types of legal work, helping guide requests and surface the appropriate next steps. In other cases, specialized agents, such as Playbooks and Intake, can be activated directly within their dedicated workflows.’

Or in other words, between these five ‘dimensions’ of agentic activity, LegalOn can handle a wide range of needs.

Daniel Lewis, CEO of LegalOn, commented: ‘In-house lawyers are asked to guide, govern and grow their businesses with speed, judgment and limited resources. Our new AI agents dramatically expand what legal teams can accomplish, providing the equivalent of additional staff that can review contracts, respond to business requests, draft documents and more.’

Lewis additionally told AL: ‘The AI agents introduce a fundamentally new way to think about productivity. In-house teams can now ask, ‘What can I hire LegalOn to do?’ The answer is substantial – from creating playbooks and drafting documents to translation and gathering information from the business.’
