Kim, the company created by legal tech and ALSP pioneer Karl Chapman, has launched an execution layer for enterprises that ‘translates AI-generated requests into deterministic operational outcomes’.
The central point here, as Chapman explained, is that ‘AI systems are probabilistic’, while enterprise operations require deterministic workflows and accurate data outputs. This mismatch is causing issues, he said.
He continued: ‘Many operational processes rely on shared inboxes, spreadsheets, manual document generation and data re-keying between systems. These increase operational costs, fragment workflows and degrade enterprise data quality.
‘[But] as AI adoption increases, these operational gaps become more visible. AI can generate requests, recommendations and triggers for action — but the work still needs to be executed reliably and consistently across the enterprise tech stack, teams, and external parties.’

Thus, Kim is providing its own ‘execution layer’ that ‘enables organisations to rapidly create deterministic workflows using no-code configuration, plus integrate them seamlessly across enterprise systems’.
It is also designed to work with any AI interface or assistant, and thus ‘allows enterprises to adopt AI assistants without locking operational workflows into a single platform ecosystem’.
AL asked Chapman if this was just for legal needs, he replied: ‘All organisations, all sectors, including legal. It’s AI infrastructure – frontier model agnostic e.g. we can take the inputs from Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and convert AI-generated requests into deterministic, governed operational execution, across systems, teams, and workflows.’
So, there you go.
