Ivo Launches ‘Collaborate’ Contract Lifecycle Platform

Ivo has launched Collaborate, an ‘orchestration platform for the entire contract lifecycle’. It handles contracts from intake through to approval, negotiation and signature, they said. (See AL In-depth interview with CEO Min-Kyu Jung, below.)

The Kiwi- and California-based company commented that ‘rather than adding AI on top of an existing system, Ivo built Collaborate with the negotiation itself as the core data layer’.

The company added that ‘Collaborate lets legal teams move beyond individual productivity to manage the aggregate risk of the whole organization, turning every negotiation into intelligence the business keeps’.

Collaborate addresses the pre-signature stage of negotiations with four capabilities:

  • Project Workspace: One shared space per deal, including every version, comment, and approval, with full history and an audit trail.
  • Intake: Business users can self-serve deal requests from their existing systems, creating agreements from templates or uploading documents from a counterparty. Collaborate reads each one, detects the type, extracts relevant information, assesses its risk against playbooks , links it to the CRM opportunity, and routes it to the right person.
  • Routing & Approvals: Set up routing and approvals in plain language. Low-risk agreements can move straight to signature, while more substantive ones are directed to the right reviewers first, all within the guardrails the team sets.
  • Negotiation Insights: Quantify how many additional turns each position costs you, so you can make judgment calls on which clauses you can stop redlining and what each concession is worth, so every deal you close teaches the organization how it negotiates.’

And now the AL in-depth interview with CEO, Min-Kyu Jung.

Why do this now?

Contracts touch every part of the business, but the process around them is scattered across teams, tools, and inboxes. The negotiation, where a deal is really decided, has never had a system built to run it.

That’s changing now for two reasons. First, AI can finally read every agreement as it arrives and route it on the actual risk, so the whole contracting lifecycle, from intake through approval, negotiation, and signature, can run in one place. Second, most of our most sophisticated customers are already working in this way.

Lawyers are already setting the rules to manage the aggregate risk of the entire organization, rather than reading every line of every agreement. Collaborate is built for that shift.

How is this different from what other companies are doing?

Collaborate orchestrates the entire contracting lifecycle in one system built for in-house teams. It reads every agreement as it arrives, routes it based on the risk you define, runs the negotiation, and learns from it. Low-risk agreements can go straight to signature, and anything that needs human review gets routed to the right person.

That’s a different starting point from most of the market. Some tools approach contracting as a review-and-triage layer on a platform built first for law firms. Others pair an AI review layer with a separate system of action, stitching the workflow to a third-party agreement platform.

Collaborate isn’t AI added on top of a CLM or bolted to a separate workflow engine. The negotiation itself is the core data layer, resulting in one system purpose-built for how in-house teams get a deal done. Where most tools treat contract work as a queue to clear faster, Collaborate moves legal from managing one deal at a time to managing the risk of the entire organization.

How do you handle security?

Security and trust are core to everything we build. Collaborate runs on the same enterprise foundation as the rest of the Ivo platform, with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications, available through our Trust Center at trust.ivo.ai. Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.2+. We’ve also engaged an external auditor for ISO 42001 certification of our AI management system, which we expect to achieve by Q4 2026.

Does this connect to the law firms?

Collaborate is built first for in-house teams and the functions a deal actually moves across: sales, procurement, finance, and the counterparty. It’s purpose-built for how the business gets a deal done and not for the firm-to-client relationship.

Thanks and congrats on the launch.
