Welcome to this week’s Wrap. We start by announcing some of the great speakers appearing at the upcoming Legal Innovators New York conference on November 17 + 18, at Convene in Midtown.

Spellbook has launched ‘AI Document Editor’. With it you can ‘tell Spellbook to redline your contract, then take over to manually edit, add comments, and fine-tune it to your standards before it goes out’, they explained.

By way of example, they noted that if ‘you want to edit four financing documents based on a term sheet. Just ask Spellbook, and it’ll make hundreds of edits across the set. Instead of opening them in Word, pull them up right there in Associate to review the changes. Accept what works, reject what doesn’t, and make surgical edits yourself, all in the same session.’

You can now:

• Edit quickly without leaving Spellbook.
• Fix a typo or tighten a clause without downloading the file and opening Word first.
• Accept or reject redlines without fighting formatting that shows up differently every time.
• Review comments in context.
• See what your team has flagged without downloading the file first.
• Click a citation and land right on that clause without scrolling to find it.

CosmoLex, a legal practice management platform, has launched some new features, including AI Intake, a ‘capability that captures clean client data and automatically moves every intake forward without anyone touching it’.

StructureFlow has made another senior hire. This time Lloyd Allen has joined its senior leadership team as Chief Technology Officer. He joins from Focaldata, where he served as Vice President of Engineering and led the development of AI products. He was also once Vice President of Engineering at legal AI company Eigen.

DISCO has announced the general availability of Advanced Research, an agentic AI application that adds autonomous, multi-step reasoning capabilities and provides detailed visibility into its decision making and logic to help litigators quickly evolve case strategy and gain deep insight from their evidence.

And finally, Dutch legal AI startup IamVERA has opened early access to its platform that uses several large language models to check AI-generated answers, while also replacing detected sensitive information before confidential document context reaches external model providers, they explained.

Founder Victor Angelier commented: ‘One model should not be marking its own homework.’

Here is the IamVERA’s full multi-model verification chain:

• Claude produces the initial answer.
• GPT audits its factual claims.
• Claude incorporates justified corrections.
• Grok performs an adversarial review, looking for weak assumptions, missing context and counterarguments.
• Claude applies relevant findings from that review.
• Perplexity checks current public sources.
• Claude then produces the final synthesis.
