Legal AI company LawGeex has secured a $7m Series A funding round from a group of investors, including Japanese-based HR company, Recruit Holdings, the owner of Indeed.com.
Previous investors Lool Ventures and LionBird also participated in this round, bringing total funding to $9.5m for the Israel-based legal AI contract review and assistance company.
Noory Bechor, CEO, and Ilan Admon, CTO, (pictured left and right, respectively) founded the company in 2014. LawGeex uses AI to support contract review and completion across a range of business documents, from NDAs to purchase orders and software licences.
Rami Kasterstein, who joined the company’s board as a representative of the investor group, said in a statement: ‘The legal industry is lagging behind as one of the last industries to adopt digital automation. A large portion of lawyers are still using pens, paper, printers and faxes to do their job.’
He added: ‘Within 10 years the way legal professionals operate will be dramatically different. LawGeex is at the forefront of this disruption, using AI to deliver a practical solution to challenges faced by businesses today.’
