PR Group Baretz+Brunelle Buys LexFusion Marketing Platform

Here’s a surprise….. Baretz+Brunelle (B+B), the PR group – or at least that’s how they’ve manifested themselves to AL – has bought LexFusion, the legal tech marketing platform, i.e. they help legal tech companies (and ALSPs) to sell their wares to potential buyers. In short, marketing by any other name.

As part of the transaction LexFusion’s three founders: Joe Borstein, Casey Flaherty, and Paul Stroka, have joined B+B as partners, and the LexFusion global team will be fully integrated into B+B.

However, B+B wanted to add that they don’t just do PR…..they also do ‘growth advisory’ work and handle ‘reputation capabilities, advise on talent, revenue, and leadership’.

The deal represents a significant milestone in B+B’s own growth trajectory, marking its first acquisition under B+B CEO Mike McNamara, the former CEO of Dentons US who joined last year, and solidifying B+B’s position as the preeminent growth advisory firm to the legal sector, they said.

Joe Borstein said: ‘Casey, Paul, and I could not be more excited about our union with Baretz+Brunelle. Our vision of what could be possible for LexFusion has taken on a whole new dimension. Our daily interactions with top leaders in law reinforce how rapidly and dramatically the legal industry is changing. It’s so exciting to think about the strength of B+B and LexFusion together at this pivotal moment for legal businesses.’

On one level it’s a left-field move, but it makes a lot of sense, as at the end of the day both businesses are involved in ‘selling’ legal tech to the world, for want of a better word. And marketing, sales-orientated PR etc….it’s all just different parts of the sales spectrum.

And here’s some of the companies LexFusion has helped:
