Harvey Inks US Open Tennis Deal

First Legora sponsored a Swedish golfer, then Harvey did the Harvey actor deal, now they’ve gone one further and partnered with the US Open, the major American tennis tournament.

Tennis is definitely a bit more gnarly than golf, well….just a little bit, but still…any chance either Legora or Harvey can maybe find a more radical sport to be associated with?

How about free climbing, big wave surfing, or competitive base jumping….?

When I think of status quo-breaking legal AI startups, AL wants to think of Patrick Swayze or Keanu Reeves in ‘Point Break’. But, maybe that’s just this site’s take on the world. Plus, of course Swayze would be hard to book now.

Oh well, as everyone keeps telling AL: ‘But, lots of lawyers play golf, it really makes sense…’ And lots of lawyers play tennis, or like to watch it, as well. So, one has to say: you have to go where the clients are. But, don’t lawyers surf and jump off mountains as well….? (Pls send statistical info to AL.)

Harvey noted: ‘The US Open and Harvey are announcing a multiyear partnership. As part of this landmark partnership, the US Open will drive consumer awareness for Harvey through prominent in-stadium signage, both in Arthur Ashe Stadium and on other select competition courts.

Deanne Pownall, Managing Director, Corporate Partnerships, USTA, commented: ‘We’re excited to welcome Harvey as our first ‘Legal Assistant’ partner and look forward to engaging with their brand and customer base for the years to come.’

Harvey’s CEO Winston Weinberg, added: ‘This is our first sports sponsorship, and we wanted to ensure it was the right match for our customers, prospects, and employees. The US Open’s fan base, global reach, and remarkable brand make them the perfect partner.’

And no doubt Legora will now do a deal with Bjorn Borg. Retired, sure, but he must be Sweden’s most famous tennis player. Or….how about both get involved in robot boxing? (And yes, that’s a real thing now.)
